Partner, Wipfli Advisory LLC

Adam Herman has over 30 years of experience helping closely held business owners grow, protect and realize the value of their businesses. He works with owners and leadership teams to understand what drives enterprise value — and how to strengthen it over time. Adam brings an outside‑in, market‑informed perspective that helps leaders interpret complexity, make confident decisions and focus on the actions that most meaningfully impact performance, risk and long‑term growth.

Known for his curiosity and forward‑looking perspective, Adam is frequently sought out for his insight into valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and value creation strategies for middle‑market companies. He helps leaders navigate complex business challenges by connecting strategy, value drivers and execution — whether or not a transaction is on the horizon.

Adam also has a strong national reputation in research and development (R&D) tax credits. He has spent decades advising companies, collaborating with the IRS and leading industry roundtables focused on improving compliance and outcomes. Adam currently serves as Chairman of the National Research & Experimentation Roundtable Group and serves as Wipfli’s ambassador within the Allinial Global Association, helping foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and strategic relationships across member firms.
